 Facts about Philadelphia Bankruptcy:

All cases from the City of Philadelphia are filed in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Hearings for such case are held downtown. The bankruptcy hearing (meeting of creditors) in Chapter 7 cases are held at 833 Chestnut Street in Chapter 7 cases and in the historic Bourse building in Chapter 13 cases. (In most cases, debtors attend only one hearing.) The bankruptcy court is located at 900 Market Street. For additional information about bankruptcy hearings, see “Will I have to go to court?”)
